The Entrepreneurial Development cell of Seethalakshmi Ramaswami College was started in 2016. It was initiated with an aim to increase the employability skills of women student who are future entrepreneurs. The Cell has been set up under the Entrepreneurship Development Hub of SASTRA University to enlighten and empower entrepreneurship among women students in our campus.
Goal- To empower women student to become entrepreneurs
Objectives
- To develop strategy and structure for entrepreneurship development
- To create awareness on conceptual framework of entrepreneurial development
- To inculcate entrepreneurial values
- To impart training in related fields
Activities
- Dr.V.Badrinath, Dean, School of Management and Director, Placement and Training, SASTRA University, Thanjavur, addressed the students on Entrepreneurial Skill Development on 02.02.2017
- A five day workshop titled Enrich and Empower Home Managers was organised from 28th August to 1st September 2017 for women from the local community on Herbal Formulations, Garden and Earth worm Manure Making, Preserved foods, demonstration of assembling and working of various energy saving products , Yoga and Master check up
- A two day exhibition cum sale of the products of women's self-help groups organised in association with the Entrepreneurial Development Cell of SASTRA University, Thanjavur and Tata Power Trading Company Ltd, DSMS, Thanjavur on 12.03.2018 to13.03.2018
- Handloom Mela organised on National Handloom Day on 29-06-2018
